The incision for the breast enlargement procedure is done through the belly button / navel. With transumbilical breast augmentation, no cuts are made in or around the breast tissue. A thin instrument is inserted through this incision, passing under the abdominal skin to a position behind the pectoralis major muscle. A pocket is then created by inserting a tissue expander and filled with air. The size of the bag is checked and then complete dissection along the original incision. Finally, The saline implant is inserted and then filled with desired amount of sterile saline.
The advantages of this technique versus others: shorter surgery, less trauma and bleeding, a small incision and a faster recovery!
